SC approval of Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani proves the Aquinos are no heroes

marcos_libingan_ng_mga_bayani

The Philippine Supreme Court has finally issued its decision against the petition to block former President Ferdinand Marcos’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) and the result was 9-5 in favour of allowing the burial.  As predicted, there are people weeping and gnashing their teeth in frustration.  Anti-Marcos rallies are being held as of this writing with one attended by no less than former President BS Aquino expressing his outrage over the decision. It’s not surprising considering the decision is a slap on the face of the Aquino clan.

The Aquinos built their image on the back of the “Marcos is evil” narrative. It’s safe to assume that the Aquinos feel threatened now. They probably think that allowing Marcos to be buried at the “heroes’ cemetery” will change how the public see them. If the public perceives Marcos Sr as a hero, how will the public perceive Ninoy and Cory? Apparently, 30 years in power have made the Aquinos and their supporters delusional. They need to be told that the majority of the public have stopped seeing them as “heroes” a long time ago thanks to BS Aquino who ruined his parents’ so-called legacy.

Indeed, 30 years in power have made the Aquinos, their supporters and all the other anti-Marcos advocates complacent to the point that they were completely taken by surprise by the fact that there is no law that says Marcos cannot be buried at the LNMB. They had all the time in the world to craft a law (BS Aquino was a lawmaker for years) or change the rules in a way that would exclude Marcos Sr from being buried at the LNMB, but they didn’t do anything at all.

It was only when the new government under current President Rodrigo Duterte announced the schedule of the planned Marcos burial in September of this year when those opposed to the burial finally did something, and what they did was basically just a shot in the dark. They were hoping against hope that appealing to emotion would work to convince the judges of the Supreme Court — those trained to follow the law — to throw the rule book out the window and accede to their petition.

Now the petitioners are acting so outraged — as if they didn’t see it coming. It’s not like the Marcos kin made it a secret. The Marcoses have always made their wishes to bury the husband and their father at the LNMB. Critics of the Marcos family knew this but just laughed at the thought. They underestimated the Marcos appeal.

The petitioners’ reactions show their lack of understanding of the law. It is crystal clear that Marcos Sr, being a former President and soldier, is more than qualified to be buried at the LNMB. Moreover, Marcos Sr was never convicted of any of the allegations being bandied around by his critics. This was also confirmed by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court spokesperson Ted Te emphasised during a press conference that the former President was not convicted of any crime. It is therefore wrong for anti-Marcos advocates to continue calling him a thief and murderer. Doing so means they are denying an individual his right to presumption of innocence and they are no better than people they accuse of violating the law.

The petition to stop the Marcos burial at the LNMB already went through a process with the highest court of the land. The petitioners and other anti-Marcos advocates should respect the decision. The Supreme Court’s decision to allow Marcos’s burial at the LNMB should bring closure to the issue. The petitioners should follow their own advice. Ironically, the same people keep telling Duterte to follow the rule of law, so it would be hypocritical of them not to accept the Supreme Court’s decision. The decision is part of the democratic system they hold so dear. There is no dictator now. They should be lauding the fact that their petition was entertained despite the lateness of the hour when it was filed.

The problem with anti-Marcos advocates is they expected the SC to rule based on emotion. It seems too hard for them to comprehend the simple rule that allows Marcos Sr to be buried at LNMB. They are being irrational now. Some of them want to promote civil disobedience just because they didn’t get what they want. Anti-Marcos advocates are blaming the SC and Duterte for their own lack of foresight and complacency.

It’s odd that the people who insist on calling it a “hero’s burial” are the same people who object to giving him a hero’s burial. What is actually going to transpire is a state burial, not a hero’s burial. These people find it hard to understand that the LNMB is not just for heroes, it’s also for former Presidents and soldiers.

It’s a good thing there are more people who don’t have a problem with the Supreme Court’s decision. Most Filipinos are ready to move on to more important issues plaguing the Philippines. Filipinos need to bury their dead as a symbol of closing a chapter and moving on to the next. It’s too bad there are Filipinos who would rather be stuck in the past even though they consider that past as the darkest part of Philippine history. It’s as if they have become too attached to that episode and cannot let go. Some of the architects of Martial Law are still alive today and are enjoying being revered as “heroes of EDSA”. Focusing on Marcos and blaming him for all the atrocities is where his critics get it wrong.

Marcos Sr is dead. It’s quite baffling why some people are still afraid of him. His critics keep giving him power over them even beyond the grave. Burying him as soon as possible will definitely help his own critics to get over him, if only to stop the noise that distracts everyone from focusing on the real issues.

  1. Ilda,

Darkness has fallen upon the Philippines. Revisionist history has taken over. The Evil Dictator Marcos is now seen as a “hero” while current Evil President Duterte turns his back on Democratic Western Civilization to ally with Evil China and Russia.

Have you all lost your minds? Where is your common sense?

Even our friend, Mr. Kritz, will probably not be supporting crazy Duterte’s anti-US and pro China-Russia stance. I wonder what Ben K really thinks about Duterte’s anti-American policy?

    Joe.

    1. Brother John, I knew you’d come.

Unfortunately for you, and due to your pro-Aquino stupidity, your comments are rendered as OBSOLETE.

I have a premonition: your ridiculous comments must be… DELETED!

      1. It doesn’t mean you oppose the current regime that you’re a pro-Aquino! Old Man Joe never even praised or said Aquino in his comment so it is not right to quickly assume he is a pro-Aquino!

        1. Do you have any idea what you’re talking about?

Yes, he IS a pro-Aquino guy. Because Old Man Joe is also Joe America.

    2. People kept saying “Move On!” which sounds stupid. Move On because it’s the past? is it nothing to us? The past is what makes the present! Moving on is simply losing the essence and identity of Filipino.

Only fools would say that Marcos is a hero and he deserves to be buried as a hero? Hello! He once took away the democracy of Filipinos. Human Dignity and FREEDOM suffered under his term! He is a villain!

How can SC call themselves the Holders of Justice of the country? Is it because Marcos is getting popular and so do decisions must be pleasing to the majority?

I blame Duterte for luring the Filipinos today. He is irresponsible and he makes decisions carelessly! Why did he allow the resurgence of Marcos? Why?

      1. Seems you’re utterly triggered on the news, son. Your EMO-inducing comment tells it all, as expected.

By the way, if the past is what makes the present, then what makes the future? Time and time again that we inefficiently trying to correcting the past by just STICKING into it rather than creating a HOPE of a FUTURE. You don’t even care about the FUTURE, right?

Oh yeah, only TROLLS and actual emo-inducing idiots would ever try to think that Marcos is a ‘hero’ whereas the Libingan ng mga Bayani is more like the US’s Arlington National Cemetery, a burial place for soldiers. HELLOW! SOLDIERS! When someone here brought up the ‘Cory’s dog was even buried there. So you consider soldiers as dogs as well?’ Actually, you will go “Who cares? At least it’s not Marcos LOL”. Don’t give me with that bullcrap. You have the nerve to talk about human dignity and freedom yet you never realized that after Marcos left, the people became free but stupid. And most Pinoys have no human dignity at all! How can you fail to see that?

Reminder: those who voted against the burial of Marcos in the LNMB are PNoy appointees while the other side who are in favor of Marcos’ burial are from UP Law. Nice assumption you got there.

Stop blaming Duterte for this. If someone should be blamed, its immature crybabies like yourself? I wanna ask: why are you still acting like a whiny little bitch? Why?

If you can’t answer then I here’s an advice: if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. And set your priorities for once.

        1. First of all, let’s not include the Aquino’s and the US. Those accusations are not significant and it will make people believe in lies formed out of anger and hatred, which is the cancer of the Philippines! Jose Rizal knew this all along! We Filipinos can never get hold of our sh*t!

This is about Marcos and the horrible things he has done. He does not deserve to be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani because he is not a hero! He did fought for the country in the military and he deserves those medals but he did not fight for the good of the country, which is democracy-the one that enables each and everyone to develop his/herself. His family, who enjoyed the ill-gotten wealth (it’s in a Swiss bank), didn’t even recognize the sins of their family!

The country can’t move on if not everything is fixed! We will never develop if we keep leaving our problems in rubble!

Bury him in Ilocos. Praise him all you can in Ilocos!

I don’t what the future generations to visit the place and ask themselves why is Marcos buried in here.

        2. @TROLL Face:

First of all, let’s not include the Aquino’s and the US. Those accusations are not significant and it will make people believe in lies formed out of anger and hatred, which is the cancer of the Philippines! Jose Rizal knew this all along! We Filipinos can never get hold of our sh*t!

Why not? After Marcos was ousted then who took over? Another political family with the help of the US. And BTW, anger and hatred on what exactly? Filipinos can never get hold on their shit is because of the dysfunctional culture that is bringing this country in a downward spiral. Your point?

This is about Marcos and the horrible things he has done. He does not deserve to be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani because he is not a hero!

He did fought for the country in the military and he deserves those medals but he did not fight for the good of the country, which is democracy-the one that enables each and everyone to develop his/herself. His family, who enjoyed the ill-gotten wealth (it’s in a Swiss bank), didn’t even recognize the sins of their family!

Over exaggeration and overrating stuff right there. Just like any EMO-inducing troll lurking on this page, you’re missing the point.

You love to overrate about the horrible things that Marcos have done yet you didn’t even include the good things that he had done. So I can say that you love to demonize him yet you took away what he did for the country.

And yes, he served as a soldier during World War II, and him declaring Martial law, if you want to dig deeper, is a necessary action due to the growing Communist insurgency during that time. So yeah, he’s doing that just for us; that is also a time where society is disciplined. What we have right now is not true democracy either.

The ill-gotten wealth stuff is much overrated by idiots like yourself w/o even realizing the country is being systematically being plundered in the 100s of billions in hard dollars in various ways. Or you’re focused too much on being EMO with one tainted surname and not everyone who is involved with.

The country can’t move on if not everything is fixed! We will never develop if we keep leaving our problems in rubble!

And THAT is what exactly happened after Marcos left. The Yellows, instead of fixing problems, have enriched themselves instead, even much worse than Marcos for a long span of 30 years. Heh, and there are people who prefer to play victims and blame games rather than fixing problems since it’s the easiest way to do. Or perhaps you’re too dumb to realize it.

Bury him in Ilocos. Praise him all you can in Ilocos!

I don’t what the future generations to visit the place and ask themselves why is Marcos buried in here.

Too late, son. And perhaps future generations will realize that they should learn about objective history and most Pinoys were fooled all along as well.

      2. Just busy him and be done with it. I suspect some sectors just want his wax preserved remains out in the open so they have a “boogeyman” to point at.sorry, but we’ve wised up. You cannot keep his corpse above ground as a crutch for your incompetence.

      3. Enough already!

For the past 30 years before Duterte, the real people of the Philippines have been quiet and peaceful giving the Aquino brand of democracy a chance in the name of peace and unity. Come on, the 1986 revolution did not represent the whole country’s sentiment? You, the noisy minority made it your show, all about you. The real voice of the Filipino people kept silent for the sake of the country. The Aquino brand had their chance and failed big time.

why can’t you people just play the role that the real Filipino people hs played during the Aquino regime? Why does it have to be about choosing sides? Why can it not be about the country and not about a name brand? Do we really need to choose sides just to go about living our daily lives? I urge people with your kind of sick mindedness to really loook hard and be honest. Stop being emotional retards and look at the big effin picture of your country. Taking sides has destroyed this country. Please give it much needed time to lick and heal its wounds. You know the country needs it now.

    3. Darkness has fallen upon the Philippines. Revisionist history has taken over. The Evil Dictator Marcos is now seen as a “hero” while current Evil President Duterte turns his back on Democratic Western Civilization to ally with Evil China and Russia.

Two words, Mr America: OVER & ACTING.

Go back to your defunct site and continue your aborted fellatio of the Aquinos there. No one takes you seriously here.

    4. What i can say is you are still stupid, you are still living in the medieval time where hatred is foremost. You are a person who makes the world unsafe and unsound. Move on please!!!

    6. The upcoming protest rally against FM’s burial shows and whiners against said burial shows that democracy is alive and well in spite of your claims of “darkness falling over the land”.

      In short, you are LYING.

  2. The decision to bury the late Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos , Sr. by the Supreme Court is the right decision. Those SC Justices, who voted against it, politicized the issue. They should be ashamed of themselves !

Marcos Sr. is a soldier in World War II; and a decorated soldier. The Aquinos and their patron: the U.S./C.I.A. demonized this Filipino hero.

The Aquinos Myth is dead…they themselves killed it. They want to perpetuate this Marcos Sr. issue and the Martial Law issue , to portray themselves , heroes and saints.

A chapter in our history is now closed !

Remember, the Aquinos faces are in our currency. The Manila International Airport is named after them. Rizal Memorial Stadium is named after them. Government buildings and roads are named after them. They are the consummate narcissists !

What good did they do to the Filipino people ?

Hacienda Luista massacre; Mamapasano masascre; DAP, PDAF; Pork Barrel Bribery; Land Reform Program shelved to protect their Hacienda Luisita; etc…They made the Philippines a NARCO Republic. They introduced NARCO politics. They cheated repeatedly in elections thru the HOCUS PCOS SMARTMAGIC machine. They become political tools of the U.S./C.I.A., protecting the interests of the U.S. , in the Philippines !

Down with the Aquinos, Feudal Oligarchs !

    1. We are hoping for total revisionism, rewriting and sanitization of the entire Filipino history right after FM is buried in LMNB for state funeral as true national most decorated war hero with 33 real medals (all of them which are not fake).

We can glorify FM whatever we want and we can demonize Aquinos, Yellows, and the oligarchs whatever we want.

We believe Martial Law was peaceful era and paradise and Marcos years were golden era.

All we have is to forget Ninoy Aquino’s day, EDSA Celebration, Martial Law Victims and Cory Aquino never happened to be president like Ninoy and Noynoy Aquino.

We feel happy for KBL Loyalists, Marcos Loyalists and Cronies for Marcos burial approval from SC ruling.

We need is military discipline and autocracy rather than democracy to have rapid progress in the Philippines without succumbing to corruption just like that in Singapore, but not North Korea or so.

We support Right-Wing and fascism to end Communism, Catholicism and Islam to have Illuminati and New World Order.

      1. Welp, parroting this and parroting that. Unfortunately, son. You sound like a broken record. So your post is nothing but SPAM. 🙂

      1. Are you trying to say that Cory’s dog is a hero as well?

The LNMB is a burial place for SOLDIERS and FORMER PRESIDENTS. If you’re a hero yourself, would you want yourself to be buried there when you die?

As always, all EMO and no substance. Yep, TROLL confirmed.

        1. Then the Libingan ng mga Bayani should change its name to cemetery of Former Presidents rather than Heroes!

And the Cory’s dog thing is just another attack on the Aquino’s which is NOT RELEVANT TO THIS ISSUE!

        2. @TROLL Face:

Then the Libingan ng mga Bayani should change its name to cemetery of Former Presidents rather than Heroes!

And the Cory’s dog thing is just another attack on the Aquino’s which is NOT RELEVANT TO THIS ISSUE!

Oh yeah, another strawman argument right there.

And yes, it’s still relevant because the Aquinos are portrayed as ‘heroes’, right? Why are they so butthurt if Marcos burial issue is not relevant FOR THEM?

        1. My face represents the TRUE FILIPINO SPIRIT! If you delete it, so does the essence of being a Filipino. You would create a new face made out of lies and hatred! A face of illusion that must be feared!

        2. @TROLL Face:

My face represents the TRUE FILIPINO SPIRIT! If you delete it, so does the essence of being a Filipino. You would create a new face made out of lies and hatred! A face of illusion that must be feared!

You’re not representing anything, more like another delusional EMO-inducing Pinoy. If the essence of being a Filipino is being too emotional without the ability to THINK and to be GULLIBLE, then be my guest.

Your face, unfortunately, is made out of lies and hatred. Which is, hatred for one tainted surname. That’s how simpletons think.

  3. The Supreme Court decision never said that the Aquinos are not heroes. On the contrary, someof the justices argued that the Marcoses have been ruled as villains in at least one SC ruling.

        1. It’s really funny how you judge every issue relating it to the Yellow family.

Because they’re the ones who are responsible for the deterioration of this country for more than 30 years? Every mistake, failure and blunder made by them will be ignored since they will blame it on Marcos then. Your point?

  4. See the laws used to base SC’s decision. In my perspective, these certain laws are insensitive to the symbolical standing of Libingan ng mga Bayani.

THATS THE PROBLEM AND OPEN YOUR EYES!

    1. Your EMO-inducing comments won’t get you anywhere.

If someone here has a problem, then it’s you. My eyes are opened from the beginning since nobody here will fall to your APPEAL TO THE EMOTIONS kind of bullshit. Stop that.

    2. @Dickface

The rule of law was finally followed and yet you yellow tw@ts keep complaining over a man who’s been dead for decades?

You guys seriously need to get out of your jaundiced POV and use your fcking brain..oh wait, you tw@ts don’t even have any.

      1. As usual, these remaining stragglers of the previous malacañang comms group still think they’re still in power.

The jokes on them since their yellow propaganda has been killed off effectively as of yesterday.

      2. @Joeld Anybody can interpret the law. One’s interpretation maybe acceptable worldwide but the fact is the interpretation of the Supreme Court becomes the law, final and executory, and has the coercive power of the State to enforce it or to be followed by everyone within the State’s territory.

It is not a question of who is the better interpreter of the law. The question is who has the backing of the State’s coercive power.

  5. “Hero’ Ninoy and “Saint” Cory are truly rolling in their graves. Shame on the SC to have the “dictator”, “corrupt”, “murderer”, “plunderer” FEM share the LNMB with him! After all is said and done, the other camp could only scratch their heads in frustration and anger and losing it all. Kudos to our SC who are beholden only to the rule of law. FEM still matters. You really cannot put a good man down.

  6. The SC have decided in favor of PRRD’S order to have the late FEM be buried at the LNMB where the anti and pro Marcos followers have demonstrated their ardent desire to have the decision switched to their side but at the end, SC favored the order of PRRD to have the late FEM be buried at the LNMB as befitting a former president and soldier of this benighted and long divided country of ours. The anti Marcos are indeed gnashing their teeth and cannot accept meeting a a virtual Waterloo which brought them almost 3 decades to protest and condemn the conjugal dictatorship. But thanks to PRRD who is repaying a long overdue favors to the Marcoses, without batting an eyelash, the first order of his presidency was to order the burial of the late FEM where he belong according to him at the LNMB. It was indeed a dejavu of an endorsement from the president himself and all broke loose on the part of the Marcoses that at last, a more caring and a true friend of the much maligned family have indeed found a savor who resurrected the reality that the monster that he was being vilified in death will indeed see a brighter light of day at the end of a very long moonless nights. This time it is the pro Marcos who will be celebrating in glee for the great turn around of the SC who have change their assumption of the excesses of the better half of the conjugal dictatorship. In 2008 the SC have come out with the decision that indeed part of ill gotten wealth of the Marcoses which were unearthed in other countries should be made to pay for the thousands of martial law victims carried out during the dawn of the era of political subterfuge and mayhem. After more than 3 decades in political limbo, the Marcoses have won their seats and back in the political mainstream, a battle of recognition from the SC but the honor and dignity which they are expecting to be returned to them by the public will not be there anymore since to the eyes of the multitude of the martial law victims, the SC decision was supposed to be a long overdue recognition of their sufferings but at the end, the worst fear has to be accepted that indeed, they are not the lucky recipient of a favorable and just decision this time. Instead of accomplishing a healing process and closure of a long episode of anxiety and emptiness, are we really seeing a closure or will be experiencing a more deeper wounds that seems cannot be reconciled with the latest SC decision. It is the Marcoses themselves after winning this SC landmark decision that can craft a WIN WIN situation acceptable to all parties concerned. Now that they have won and obtained the final decision of the SC that allows them to bury their dead at LNMB, it will be fitting for the Marcoses to bury not only the corpse of a beloved father and purported leader but also bury the hate, bigotry and division of the country long awaiting for a just decision acceptable to all. Ito po ang tunay na pag kakataon upang tuluyang humilom ang sugat na dulot ng matagal na pagkawatak watak ng bansa dahil sa kagagawan ng isang FEM. If BongBong having the birthright of his late father is a true statesman and future leader of the country that he can aspire, be a magnanimous victor in triumph should declare that inspite of the favorable SC decision, he and his family should not bury the late FEM at LNMB but instead bury him beside his mother at that private cemetery in Ilocos Norte. With this wisdom, if BongBong can see the beauty of it, will finally put a closure to the long hatred which the martial law victims had kept for themselves in the more than 3 decades of theirs and their families sufferings. Mahirap po bang gawin ito ng isang BongBong Marcos or the corpus dllecte is more solemn or sacred to the satisfaction of a mundane desire and not the spiritual upliftment of all Filipinos. After all, all of us had been victims of a situation even when we were not yet born in that era of turmoil in the history of a country struggling to see the brighter side of light in this year of ultimate forgiveness and pardon to all.

  7. It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over.

  8. Here’s an alternate POV.

Democracy did not die yesterday. How can democracy die if all we’ve had since 1986 was a pretense of a democracy? What we’ve had for the past thirty years is a soft dictatorship where the Aquinos and Yellows influenced government and politics according to its whims. Why do you think they demonized Arroyo? She chose to defy Cory. And when Noynoy became president they thought they had reinstated their power only for him to further erode their influence. Today, the Aquino influence is finally dead and we can finally have a democracy sans the dictates of the Yellow.

  9. Oh and before I forget, it was Cory’s decision not to allow Marcos to come back and face criminal charges.
She, in her infinite “holiness”, kept him in exile.
So Marcos was never convicted of anything.
So as far as the law is concerned, he was innocent.

  10. Marcos is truly a hero and a martyr too.He did have the right tp bomb EDSA as it was already a rebelion, but chooses to give up his presidency for his love for the people.Had it been the Aquinos/Cojuangcos on his shoes, that has the tenacity to slaughter poor farmers for mere land dispute, that could have been a bloody part of our history.Marcos is now vindicated,as Enrile is also owning up the mistakes of martial law.The truth does always prevail. And now that Marcos vindication has arrived, the Aquinos/Cojuangcos’ desrved persecution has just definitely begun.

    1. Marcos is truly the most bemedalled and most decorated war hero! His medals are real not fake!

Screw US for faking his medals!

We will see total revisionism, rewriting and sanitization of the entire Filipino history to be completely changed forever after FM is buried in LMNB for a state funeral like Arturo Tolentino.

Glorify Marcos, demonize Aquino. Love Martial Law as peaceful age, demonize and forget about EDSA Revolution!

We are grateful for Cesar Virata for being Prime Minister.

Let’s see KBL (Kilusang Bagong Lipunan AKA New Society Movement) and Benign0 will get along with that.

      1. Everything you’ve said is a bluff. You’re making any serious argument here. You’re just TROLLING just to satisfy your own FEELINGS.

Grow up and set your priorities for once. 😛

      2. Marcos is truly the most bemedalled and most decorated war hero! His medals are real not fake!

Uhuh, yep. This guy really IS a troll alright. Interestingly enough, I was just reading a piece about internet trolls the other day. Apparently trolling behavior are caused by sadism, anti-social behavior, immense insecurity, and psychotic tendencies. Yikes! Sweetie, I think you should worry more about your mental health for now.

Your mental health is more important, dear. Have a check up with a psychiatrist, maybe.

  11. Ok, its a big slap on the Aquino brand of democracy for FEM to be finally buried there.

But do take into consideration that Ninoy was already a convicted man during FEMs time. Nevertheless, FEM allowed him to go the the US in exile because of his health issues. Ninoy, then was a warm living body.

FEM’s remains on the other hand… cold and rotting…. how can the Yellows not just take a bow to the SC decision allow it?

    So much “disente” huh?

Picture a spoiled brat who is not allowed to have what he wants. Come on, roll on the ground crying and shouting…. holding your breath until you turn blue….

    1. It’s all they can do at this point.
Unfortunately for them, it’s only making them look like sore losers and whining brats.

Another people power won’t materialize this time since people are already sick of the yellow narrative.

  12. It is now time for DU30 to create an independent Truth Commission to investigate the assassination of Ninoy. The mother and son presidents should have led the way to find out the truth but they did not.

They refused to find out the truth because their hold on power and efforts to demonize Marcos were to their political advantage.

  13. Another butthurt, triggered trollfag is on the loose. 🙂

Do you have any idea what you’re talking about? Those people who actually lived during that also had better lives as well. Seems you never heard of people like Kit Tatad, Bobit Avila, Alex Magno, Rigoberto Tiglao (who was imprisoned during Martial law) and even Teddy Locsin, Jr. and others. So, ano ang gusto mong sabihin?

Ang sabihin mo ay hindi nilagyan ng asin yung sugat. SALTY and BITTER ka lang. You can’t even admit that your egos are FUCKED. And yung last statement mo na “SUNTUKAN NA LANG!!!!”? Heh, so much for democracy that is do distasteful and disgusting. Pareho kayong dalawa ni De Lima.

If I were you, son, please don’t be a STUPID IDIOT and set your priorities for once. Because if you don’t then congratulations, YOU JUST MADE THE LIST! 😀

  14. Question, what is he difference between THE USA and the Phils? We ad a soldier who won many awards that would later blown perform the worst terrorist attack in American by a American. He still received his military rights including burial. We understood that what he earned cannot be taken away. He served in the Army with honor. What he did after he left did not mater. This president was chosen by the people. He earned his right. What happened later does not matter. Start acting like the Catholic country you are and forgive.

  15. Its actually quite simple, we don’t approve of allowing soldiers to rape, torture and kill with impunity thats why we dont believe marcos is a hero.

    1. As expected from a simpleton.

It’s not just Marcos alone. Who are the Defense Secretary and head of the Philippine Constabulary during that time? Failure to comply means you’re an actual idiot.

Marcos is a former soldier and a former president, not a hero. So, what is a hero to you?

        1. See that? You can’t even make an explanation.

I wanna ask you the same question as joeld: where in the article did it enforce that FEM is a hero?

Anyhow, just to make yourself better:

Marcos may not have been a hero, but he was no demon. He did not have Ninoy killed. Marcos had helped save Ninoy’s life by making sure his fraternity brother got proper medical attention in the US. He was not the mastermind of the EJKs. He was not a monster. He was a sinner, perhaps a very bad one, but how does that make him vastly different from anyone of us?

        2. “Im not sure how to define exactly but im sure that marcos is no hero”

And I don’t know how to exactly define it, but I’m sure you are a pudding head.

        3. Its like beauty its hard to define but you know ugly when you see it. With the number of people who suffered just so marcos could sate his addiction to power, its like calling hitler a hero. The answee to joelds question is the author supports marcos being placed in the hall of heroes so of course shes calling him a hero

        4. Unfortunately, you’re clueless. Do you thin k that those who suffered under Marcos are ALL innocents? Even DLSU professor Antonio Contreras asserts that

for the most part, the victims of these alleged atrocities are not as innocent as they are made out to be but were combatants of their chosen ideologies (many of which espoused a violent destruction of the state). They were, Contreras writes, “casualties” of their “ideological choices”.

In addition, perhaps you should even read Rigoberto Tiglao’s articles; he works for the Manila Times. He’s a former leftist and above all, he lived through Martial law.

You cite about Marcos’ sate addiction to power but it seems you’re fine with Yellows sating their addiction with power for over 30 years and now they even wanted to oust Duterte so they want that power once again. And putting Marcos into the same level as Hitler shows you how simple-minded you are and you have very low standards.

Well, for you to understand, let me just quote George Santayana: “History is a pack of lies about events that never happened told by people who weren’t there.” This new movement is proving Santayana correct. They are making Marcos look like Suharto, Pol Pot, Mao, or Rhee. Surely, Marcos wasn’t; his human right victims doesn’t even number 100,000; it is much less than that, when the other dictators I just mentioned run in the millions.

        5. 1. no one said all marcos victims are innocent.
          2. no one here is “yellow”
          3. we are simply saying our martial law experience requires (behooves?) us to disagree with interring marcos in our hall of heroes

Soldiers come into your village, accuse you of being communist, slap you around, take your farm animals, rape your daughters, shoot those who fight back, kidnap some who are never found. Repeat that thousands of times and you get an idea of what martial law was like for most filipinos. I understand its hard to imagine from your airconditioned cubicle but pardon us if we dont join in the hero worship. Why are you so angry at people who had a negative experience during martial law?

        6. 1. Yet you love to overrate it so you also said that all of them are innocent.
          2. Not just Yellows but immature crybabies whos EGOS are screwed
          3. Perhaps I need to repeat joeld’s comment:

“Again, the decision to bury him in LNMB is because he served as a soldier and former president. Not as a hero. Get that through your thick skull.”

Yep, another overration right there. Even after Marcos left, those things that you’ve mentioned also happened, under the guise of ‘democracy’. So what are you implying?

You’re the one who brought up the ‘hero worship’ crap while you’re also doing the same thing with the Aquinos and their personal cronies. And no, most of us here are not angry. I just want to point how much of a simpleton you are. You’re also giving disrespect to people who lived good lives during those ‘dark days’ so it is much better that if you look at both sides of the story.

Sorry, but only idiots would use an ‘appeal to the emotions’ crap. Your posts are a proof of it.

        7. Calm down keyboard warrior. No one said all marcos victims are innocent. No one said the aquinos are heroes. No one is arguing that some people had good lives that time (imelda is one). Look at all the strawmen youve struck down congrats.

What I’m saying is our experience of martial law is soldiers having the license to kill and rape with impunity. Marcos enabled that and for that I can never endorse including him in a hall of heroes.

Yes there are human rights abuses too in subsequent presidents but not on the same scale precisely because during martial law soldiers were above the law.

P.S. What do you mean by overrate and overration?

        8. @berbie

You’re missing the point. Unfortunately, you’re becoming overly emotional that you’re now becoming ridiculous.

And about the human rights abuses that happened during Martial law is just as the same AFTER he left. I’m utterly disappointed that you didn’t even include Ramos and Enrile in your list because they are ‘heroes’, right?

And for the nth time, the LNMB is more like Arlington National Cemetery, not a ‘hall for heroes’ just like you want to shove it on everyone. I just want to tell you that even Cory’s dog was even buried there. So that means you value a dog more than a soldier. If that is the case, seems I know where you’re coming from.

Seems, I’m currently enjoying myself of exposing your stupidity here. Like I said, stop with these ‘appeal to the emotions’ BS.

    2. @ berbie

Please take time to really use your brain instead of your emotions. Think logically. You come in here commenting with a lazy brain, you will be destroyed. This is no place for drama queens.

Again, the decision to bury him in LNMB is because he served as a soldier and former president. Not as a hero. Get that through your thick skull.

Taking a step back, if you are a real person then it really isn’t that important if he gets buried there or not… this country has a lot of healing to do and this can be considered as just trivial compared to the damage done by people with lazy brains last 1986.

        1. Unfortunately, you have brain problems and instead of using your brains, you’re using your EMOTIONS instead. Again, your posts are a proof of it.

And how can there be justice if people like you are damn lazy that instead of seeking justice, you losers love to play the victim card and keep on blaming on Marcos because you think it’s the easiest way to do?

Hate to say this, but you’re starting to become ridiculous.

        2. Lies. Nobody here says that Marcos was a hero. Only you and your fellow gullible Yellowtards who brought that up. And his burial in the LNMB is accordance to the law. Nothing else.

          What’s the damn problem?

        3. Where are all the convictions in a court of law? There are non. Marcos deserves to be buried as it is fit for a head of state. Everything you stated are claims. No prove. Bad shit happens all the time, no matter who is President. Don’t blame it all on a man who can not defend himself. You dumb fucks are so fucking brainwashed that all logic and reason goes out the window. Accept the decision of the SC. If they would have decided the other way you would have been fine with it. You assholes only accept things if they go “your way”. Shut the fuck up already, you speak for a minority, not for all.

        4. Had Marcos been convicted by the rules set by post-Marcos rulers, obviously all post-Marcos rulers would be convicted for crimes of plunder and human rights abuses. They were ( from Cory down to the Aquino Jr.) are too terrified that that they will be punished with certainty had they convicted Marcos on Philippines courts. They rely on the Marcoses convictions on foreign land and want it to be applied in the Philippines. lol

The great problem with post-Marcos rulers (all of them) do not want the Golden Rule applied on themselves.

Only the naive would not know the real reason why the pro-Aquinos are terrified of the re-imposition of death penalty on heinous crimes.

        5. Berbie: How can we Filipinos have true justice when Cory did not seriously prosecute, did not put Marcos and his instruments of oppression on trial, and convicted him just like the Jews did to the Nazis?

    3. you better put the issue when you go to bed for sleep… you can do nothing at all, SC had decided…

      Weather, weather lang yan!!!

      1. “Weather, weather lang yan!!!s” mentality will sooner or later lead the balkanization of (Federalism is the start ) or to a civil war in this country.

Only the honest to goodness practice of the negative form of the Golden Rule will lead to a lasting peace in the country.

  16. Marcos was a hero because there were no 4 million drug addicts during his time. Cory was the willing promoter of unbridled free enterprise of which the IMF-WB made the Philippines the guinea pig. With unbridled free enterprise, the privatization of state assets impoverished the country of billions of dollars twice over the alleged Marcos loot which the post Marcos rulers looted and the bulk these loot PCGG fiscal agents and Salonga parted with the Marcoses.

The proliferation of the illegal drug trade in the country was part and parcel of the unbridled free enterprise the corrupted the very basic moral fiber of Philippine society.

How come the Philippine Roman Catholic hierarchy headed by Bishop Em eritus Cruz of Lingayen is so active against jueteng but not against the illegal drug trade. The RCC hierarchy claims they have the most efficient intel network in this country yet nothing is heard from them against the illegal drug trade. Don’t they know the protectors of the illegal drug trade ? How come the nuns and priests are all behind De5 ?

  17. GOD loves our country the way he loves Israel and his chosen people. He showed His mighty power before them. He protected the Jews and at the same time punished them for their transgressions. They wandered in the desert for forty years. God uses people for His greater glory. In the Philippines we suffered 30 long years after Marcos is gone. God put in power the two Aquinos which did not bring prosperity to our land but propagated a culture of hate and vindictiveness to the detriment of the Filipinos. Instead of the Aquinos and the so called Yellows showing humility after being in power, they become proud and arrogant. Hence, there was divisiveness and disunity in our land. God allowed the two Aquinos assumed the Presidency so that FM will shine more. Now majority of the Filipinos know who is the better leader for them. God used President Duterte and the SC to allow the burial to happen to a Filipino president who is a true soldier who saw action in WWII. For us, Senator Marcos’ contribution in public service is outstanding that is why we voted for him and we know in our hearts that he truly won in the Vice Presidential race. I believe he will win in his protest against Leni Robredo and he will serve as our Vice President in God’s own time because that is God’s will. God won’t allow the Filipinos to be robbed of their electoral will. He will pave the way, We all make mistakes and our good trait as a people is that we are forgiving. Let us not throw away that trait because that is the only trait that brings us closer to God who is merciful and forgiving at all times. I thank the President and the SC for allowing the burial. God gave them the wisdom. Most of all, I thank God for allowing this to happen. God was clearly on the side of the dead who could no longer defend himself.

    1. Possibly God loves the Philippines, but Filipinos sure don’t love him.

If they did, perhaps the country wouldn’t a violent third-world shithole populated by thieves and criminals.

Absolutely despicable how Filipinos think it’s OK to behave like animals because God is “merciful and forgiving”.

    2. After BBM is VP, we want to see total revisionism, sanitization and rewritting of the entire Filipino history as Martial Law is golden era and EDSA celebration is dark age. We are looking for military discipline and autocracy rather than democracy. We shall have Martial Law denial like Holocaust denial in Germany.

Forget about EDSA Revolution, Martial Law Victims. Think of Marcoses’ divine wealth (as jewelries and items and divine spiritual gifts).

Bring back KBL and Nacionalista Party as Right Wing to fight Muslim and Communist Rebels!

      1. Yes, and let’s kill all those who disagree however timidly (or even not at all, just to make us Pinoy turncoats tremble before the majesty of the law and the arms of the military), then posthumously award them with such dignifying monikers such as “rebel” and “subversive” — and should their families object — why, off with their heads!

Just like in the old days, but even better!!!

      2. Since you’re playing this TROLLING game right here, perhaps I can entertain you:

-You and your fellow crybabies are whining about revisionism here. You fail to realize that Martial law is just two sides of the same coin and EDSA is more like a farce; it paved the way to another political family to take over in the name of ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’. Nobody is denying Martial law here; you need to look on both sides of the story if you want to, but nooooooooo you’re just blabbering to satisfy your EMO tendencies. If we go be reverse, then you said that we should have the Mendiola Massacre denial as if it didn’t happen. Be honest~

-EDSA is a failure. Martial law victims should stop being whiny, victim card playing, immature crybabies and grow up. The Marcos’ wealth would be distribute in due time and make sure that it will not be looted by trolls and your fellow ally trapos.

-Nice strawman argument. You want to bring back the KBL and Nacionalista Party and for what?

Are you really THAT dumb or you’re just TROLLING? Fail to answer and you’ve proven that I am right and I vehemently exposed your utter hypocrisy.

        1. @BongPanda:

Lies. Most of my arguments are based on FACTS and REALITY-CHECK while yours is not actually opinion but petty Yellow Propaganda and conspiracy theories just to fully satisfy your EMO needs.

So because you’re actually losing any argument about the Marcos issue, you resort to TROLLING instead. You’re mo different to any Yellowtard; hypocrites, as I call them.

  18. Please do not use God to support your arguments whether for or against the burial of Marcos.

God or Jesus or any god might come down or come up from nowhere and kick all your asses. lol

  19. Benign0 and pro-Marcos Loyalists (apologists, propagandists and denialists),

I think Marcos is really a the most decorated war hero but his medals are all real but not fake; he is the best and the most intelligent president of the Philippines and soldier! He deserves to be buried in LMNB for state funeral.

Feel free for Marcos Loyalists to glorify Marcos and demonize Yellows and Aquinos and totally revise, rewrite and sanitize the entire Filipino history so Martial Law victims will never exist and EDSA celebration won’t happen and Martial Law will be justified as a blessing.

Let’s have Martial Law denial just like Holocause denial after Hitler’s death.

    1. Son, nobody is taking you seriously here aince you’re proven yourself being a Yellowtard trollfag.

All EMO-inducing crap and no substance. Nobody is denying Martial law but you just love to overrate it.

        1. Putting Marcos on the same level as Hitler tells about your own stupidity that you resort to TROLLING as well.

Another thing is your impersonation of other users that you harrassed. Hope you’re proud of yourself, Propaganda Boy a.k.a. BongPanda.

        2. Watch out for terrorists and trolls alike. KRChronicle, you are nothing but terrorist.
So is you, Propaganda Boy, and DIO, the impersonator terrorists. You three.

        3. Watch out for Propaganda Boy who loves to impersonate users in order to seek attention.

Internet trolls are like this: they LIE, OFFEND, and EXAGGERATE in order to get a response. That post of yours is a proof of it.

    2. Your ad hominem and red herring comments makes your argument totally invalid.

Would you please stop embarrassing yourself and set your priorities for once? You’re no different to the left-wing liberals who destroyed America that it paved the way that people vote for someone like Donald Trump. But what do I expect from someone who is an anarchic leftist scumbag like yourself?

  20. Our Group RCEOAF are not pro Marcoses but we see the good things that Marcos had done like preventing the dismemberment of the Republic with Imelda even bedding with Ghadaffi in the desert just to save the country being taken by Malaysian backed demagogue Nur Misuari who admitted that it was Malaysia who backed him in the MNLF secessionist movement.

We are obviously never from the start pro-Ninoy who in 1978 it appeared that he was the only one capable of bringing down Marcos at that time.

We are not pro-Tabako, not pro-pandak, not pro- weder-weder jueteng advocate Erap or not pro Abnoy and not pro DU30 !!!

We believe every power holder in this country sooner or later will abuse his Executive power because the Philippine legal system is so flawed, and those Gods (past and present) had not been doing anything to reform the corrupt justice system and obviously our legislators by their very nature will never reform our legal system because it benefits them unless the specter of death is brought right in their doorsteps.

  21. @BongPanda I will never agree with you that Marcos was the most bemedalled pinoy war veteran. I believe his medals as claimed by Marcos propagandists were than many.

The Marcos heirs should initiate a Truth Commission about Marcos adventure to regain Sabah, Martial Law, the death of Ninoy and how EDSA86 came about and welcome a national referendum on Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

  22. After Marcos burial, loyalists and trolls like me want for historical revisionism which will sanitize Filipino history and Marcos crimes.

    1. Whatever, trollfag.

You will still abuse and harass posters here like the troll you are. As expected from a thug who is also known as Propaganda Boy a.k.a. BongPanda.

    1. I know your CONTENT, Propaganda Boy. And it’s always like this.

Yellowtards always do hit and run tactics. So it’s no surprising.
