If anything pushes my hot buttons enough to make me interrupt my days of meth consumption it is the spreading of ignorance by Pinoys online. The only reason you spread ignorance is because you have nothing really going on. That is my problem with 1) Pinoy Pride Proponents who celebrate the trivial and the flimsy and ignore the ugly aspects of our society that have lasting consequences. 2) Noytards. As often happens these spheres intersect and for fun I will poke holes at these pinoy myths because it just explains why we are so behind everybody else. Even in this day and age of Google we accept ignorant Pinoy claims as the Gospel Truth. Well, consider me the heretic of Pinoy Pride.

No arguing with genius. A group asking for something not on the menu.
It is not unusual to see an online group in Facebook so gigil about the unaccomplished President Noynoy Aquino. I have long ago given up trying to understand them. It all started with the emergence of a Facebook Group called One More Term for Pnoy! A group that is too clueless to even know that there is a reason why Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush only served two terms. Then again I look at their raison d’etre and I realize they are perfect Noynoy supporters. There is an idiom a fish rots from the head down.
Two projects that are supposed to justify the unjustifiable Noynoy.
Take this screen grab from this group proud to justify Noynoy B.S. Aquino. If Noynoy is known for anything it is the credit grab. Both Ilda and Benign0 have documented so well that it frees up more time for me to ridicule the One More Term For Noynoy Movement. A fish rots from the head down.
Let us take the example on the right. The Umiray Bridge as justification for Noynoy magnificence. I knew nothing about this so in the attempt to overcome my ignorant Manila centricness I found out that 1) The Regional Development Council approved the construction in 2003 as well as the Bazal Bridge. 2) The Bazal Bridge constructed first. 3) Umiray Bridge’s final design was completed in 2010. Not sure how somebody as unaccomplished as Noynoy who has shown zero capability for foresight in his life could have been responsible for this. I doubt Noynoy himself is responsible for the content on this page but Noynoy himself is a credit grabber and he appeals to people who will credit grab. A fish rots from the head down.
The example on the left is actually far more interesting. Because it makes a claim that is so easy to refute. Pinoy Pridists , Noytards and INC are all very proud of the soon to be inaugurated Philippine Arena. Three groups whose every word I just hang on like my life depended on it.
Again using Google must be so hard since it seems nobody in Filipino cyberspace who likes to make claims about being the world’s largest seems to do it. I did a search for “world’s largest dome arena” All you ignorant pinoy pridists, don’t try this at home. You will be in danger of me being right and shattering your own illusions. Out of the ten hits in the first page, nine declared the construction in Bulacan was the world’s largest dome stadium. All nine pages were Filipino in origin. The one that disagreed claims a structure in Singapore will beat it.
Every single entry that came up was pinoy. None of them accurate. Whatever happened to getting it right??
Then I discovered something fascinating when I went to page 2 of that search. The title read “Philippine Arena: The World’s Largest Dome-Arena – CNN. “ Some people based on the headline alone would say “OK, CNN agrees with the pinoy websites, game over scrap your premise Gogs”. Like I said, everything I ever wrote I wrote under the influence of meth. The question I asked was ” if CNN has a much a bigger name worldwide than these bozos why are they relegated to page 2 of Google?”.
We are going to brag and as proof we have this drawing. That is not really on CNN.

I viewed the source article and there it was. A disclaimer not vetted by CNN. The reporter goes by a code out of an early seventies George Lucas sci fi movie and gives his location as Quezon City.
This was vetted by CNN. Maybe because there is not a hint of bragging.
Based on the supplied RSS feed this was the author’s only report submitted to CNN Ireport. Conclude from that what you will. I looked at another ireport that told the story of a family displaced by the recent events in Crimea. As you can see that was vetted by CNN. Filipinos seem to be allergic to vetting.

I thought facts are supposed to be true. I thought world’s largest meant nothing else was bigger? Reminds me of a line from Shrek 2.
With that in mind I was drawn to an article in my Google travels called 12 Facts You Might not Know about the The World’s Largest Indoor Dome. In it I found this handy chart put together by iNewMedia.org. Trying to show the “superiority” of this Philippine Arena. I tried looking for a tab in this website explaining their origin like if they are backed by any specific interest group and at first glance I do not see it. I see the initials under their name “RFTA”. A Google search reveals it as a flight school in Dumaguete. I suggest sampling the headlines in the site and see if any trend emerges. Draw your own conclusions.
Pinoys as a rule ignore any foreign league not named NBA. Does not make their claims any less B.S.
Going back to this piece of bragging, I mean journalism, “fact” #5 says “Philippine Arena is twice the size of the largest arena’s in the US and in Europe/” Keep in mind the premise here is “facts”. In the chart they put the word “indoor”. I will spare you the dictionary definition and I will go with the definition of “indoor” as “not outside”.

Many of you may not be sports fans but for some reason the creator of that list provided it under the premise of giving us facts/ he or she used as examples venues that host NBA teams. Showcasing myopia typical of Pinoy Pridists and Noytards. I do not really propose to give you facts here in GRP, just my opinion supported the way I see fit. And I love mocking people who give you their narrow, biased opinion disguised as “fact”.
The Edward Jones Dome in St.Louis, Missouri. Average paid attendance per NFL game 56,957. Looks indoors to me.
The Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. You might remember it during Katrina. Average paid attendance per NFL game 72,901. Looks indoors to me.
AT & T Stadium. Manny fought here. Home to the Dallas Cowboys. Average paid attendance per NFL game 88,043. But the structure in Bulacan is supposed to be the biggest in the world?
I just gave you three examples of stadiums in the US that allegedly will be dwarfed by the INC monolith we are supposed to be so blessed to have. Proof of Pinoy Superiority. If we are to believe the pictures, the events themselves are viewed indoors if I am not mistaken. There seems to be an all encompassing roof on all those stadiums I have provided. Those buildings host the Rams, the Cowboys and the Saints of the NFL. If you go to ESPN, their website kept track of attendance for every team whether they played indoors or outdoors. The paid attendance for all NFL teams exceed the declared capacity of the yet unfinished Philippines Arena. That does not stop Yahoo Philippines/ Manila Bulletin from saying it is the “INC arena is planet’s biggest” or the Philippine Daily Inquirer as “bigger than some of the world’s biggest”. They refer in their article to Madison Square Garden and Staples Center as the standards. Do you see a trend developing with being an information source and having the word Philippines in your name? The Philippines may not have the biggest indoor stadium in the world but it seems like they have the world’s biggest something else.
God gave us two ears and one mouth. If pinoys absorbed more information maybe they would brag less.
Lost in all this misinformation of the INC Stadium and how the rest of the world is supposed to marvel at it is the fact that our geniuses of the day at the One More Term For Pnoy Facebook group are claiming it as a feather in the cap of Noynoy. Well, with the lack of hair I can see the need to pile on the feathers. Then again a lot of feathers reminds one of ampaw. Apparently the structure is funded 100% by the INC for their centennial. No influence from Noynoy whatsoever. In their homepage One More Term For Pnoy says “One more term for Pres. Aquino to continuously fight graft and corruption and the big bully China!” One of their taglines “#SHARE if you AGREE! Haters gonna hate “. It is simply beyond their comprehension that some people hate ignorance and all that people do that stem from that ignorance.

When it comes to facts, do not rely on Pinoy sites. Just like I can not rely on pinoy voters who vote Noynoy, Bam and Nancy. My father always said he refuses to discuss religion and politics with people. Based on my piece here and others in the past I am making the case the practitioners of both sprout off “facts” like their audience is incapable of looking them up. The thing is in most cases they are right.

It amazes me that in 2014 how many pinoys are so quick to believe and spread the most sensational and unbelievable things. Bill Gates is not giving away $5000, there is no video of survivors of Flight MH370, the Philippines is not mentioned in the Bible as being specially blessed in any sense and no the Philippines Arena is not the world’s greatest anything. Even with the presence of Google, one fact I can be sure of is that KSP in the Philippines knows no limits. I am not sure if you can look this up but Pinoy Pride is seldom accompanied by Pinoy Brains. A fish rots from the head down. The only fact Noynoy’s campaign gave you in 2010 was who his parents were. Inversely using facts in an argument with a Noytard is more futile than Kris’ application to the Caremelite Monastery. Facts just get in the way for a good Noytard argument. Also unfortunately for many pinoy sources of information, facts compromise their obsession with sticking their chests out.

1) Lacking common sense (Claiming that cost of living is now higher in PNoy’s term than before…why is there an increase of poor people/unemployment then?)

3) Won’t listen to critics/ignoring critics even if said people have a point…just like their idol.
4) Retarded laws such as “national food/falling in line/online libel” are considered great achievements.

Disclosure: I personally know Lope Columna. He used to attend the same church I did: Worldwide Church of God in Quezon City. We used to believe unorthodox stuff then under Herbert W. Armstrong. A lot of members got disillusioned, including Lope. They preferred to stay with unorthodox stuff. But I was honestly surprised to see him go for something like the Kabbalah. Those larger Indoor Stadiums, Domed and Retractable Roof Stadiums that he compared against the Philippine arena do host outdoor games unlike the Philippine arena that should only host indoor games. So, among Indoor arenas that host only indoor games, the Philippine Arena is still the largest.

i don’t meant to offend the blogger but you could have tried to consult with an architect or engineer what’s the difference between an arena and a stadium. Though both may be used interchangeably these structures are classified according to function. Just to give you an example to distinguish the two. An arena is used for indoor performance hence they are normally airconditioned. Stadiums on the contrary are open-air and use ventilation techniques to regulate temperature. Stadiums are never airconditioned since that will defeat its principal purpose of being an outdoor venue.
I have been to the Kingdome in all it’s sanitized glory . I saw Dan Marino, Randall Cunningham , Reggie White, Steve Largent, Dave Kreig, Alex Rodriguez, Chris Bosio , Don Mattingly, Roger Clemens, Hershell Walker. Play in games that count. It was a stadium , it was indoors and it was air conditioned. I don’t need a religion to define buildings for me. I am pretty sure there were engineers there who could confirm it was air conditioned too.
