In all countries around the globe you will find, chinese, italian, greek, vietnamese, mongolian, spanish, russian and so on restaurants that EVERYONE goes, the filipino restaurants you find abroad are located where filipinos live and ONLY filipinos go there, the food is not edible to international standards.

Filipino food is nothing special. It’s not even Asian food, more like heavily influenced by Spaniards. Oh yeah beaches. Filipinos have single handedly destroyed the most beautiful places because of greed and pollution. A great example that comes to mind is White Beach, Mindoro. In the mid 80’s when you arrive there from Puerto Galera you could see the ocean from the main road. You would walk through palm trees and arrive at a beautiful beach. In my opinion better than Boracay, because it was visually exciting with the high mountains in the back and all. Already back then the locals would just dig holes in the sand and bury their garbage there. I shit you not! Rainy season comes and the rough sea brought all that garbage back up. Then they continued for years to use the beach sand for construction. Another bright idea. Now, the place looks like a $%^$$&%^ squatter area. Disgusting! In less then 10 years they ruined the place 100%. Well done! Now from beaches to bitches. Filipino women might be beautiful sometimes, but so are women from other places on this planet. Filipino ladies of the night have very little else going for them, when it comes to companionship you learn fast that all they can really offer is a shallow fuck which most of the time is a complete dud. They are lazy, rather dumb, can’t speak proper English, don’t like to go the beach because of the sun, have drug habits, steal, and are greedy little bitches in general. For what a Burgos hooker charges you can get laid in Europe. So if you consider reality then it does not look too bright for the service men.
Hence probably the need for the Philippines to legalize prostitution. With it, there’d at least be a way to professionalize how to entertain a man, like the creation of geisha schools or somewhat.
I think that education is the key. Since Marcos the Philippine educational system has pretty much crashed. What they now teach is singing, praying, dancing. I knew a lot of “those” girls in the 80’s and they were all educated, spoke perfect English and knew how to carry themselves. If you would bring them to a party or even an official function, they had perfect manners. You would never ever think that they are hookers, and they were not. Not in their mind set and their general behavior. If you compare them to “normal” girls now hanging in any Makati Disco, you will find out fast who the real whores are. The Ermita girls were great and smart company. Many had traveled out of the Philippines, even Europe (no need for visas at that time). Now with no education came more poverty. The girls of the trade now are really trash. If they work as a prostitute or not. It’s the whole environment they grew up in/with and unlike sweat, this is a bad smell they can not get rid off.
Lets face it, The Philippines is a mess.
The food is scary, the traffic is horrendous, the cities are a nightmare and about the only reason to go there is to find a nice deserted beach where an ex-pat can live quietly on $30,000/year and have a nice young companion taking care of him. There is nothing wrong with it.
On the other hand the fact the USA ‘s GI’s are going to be turning Angeles and Subic back into the dens of inequity they once were? well, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I, as a Filipino, was very much tortured while reading the wounding comments in this page against Filipinos. It hurts, but really true. Though their truthfulness were brought by some and not all Filipinos, it is still our inevitable global description since visitors from other countries use to encounter these facade (beaches,prostitutes, crowded city,and national news on corruption) of the country. Those people who commented that, Filipino food is not edible to international standards, Almost all the beaches are polluted with plastics and all kinds of sewers plus all the fishing remains garbage, usually the Filipinas presents themselves first when Americans come looking for prostitutes, and many more unsavory words, should be commended in helping us correct the wrong. These comments, stated brutally, should be taken as constructive criticism by Filipinos particularly the Government for building a better Philippines. Please understand also the proud pinoys bragging our few positive aspects because this is our only defense mechanism to camouflage the cancerous problems that inflicted our country.
